How to Cancel Amazon Prime
Step by step · checked against the official help page in October 2026

Short answer: Go to Amazon's Cancel Your Prime Membership page (or Your Prime Membership in your account) and follow the prompts. Unused paid memberships can get a full refund.
Cancel on the website
- Sign in on amazon.com and open Your Prime Membership, or go straight to Amazon's Cancel Your Prime Membership page (linked on the help page below).
- Choose to end your membership and follow the prompts until you see the confirmation.
Signed up somewhere else?
- Through Google Play on Android: cancel in Google Play subscriptions.
- Prime included with another company's service: contact that company to cancel.
- Still stuck? On Amazon's Customer Service page, choose Something else, then I need help with something else.
What happens after you cancel
- Paid members who haven't used their benefits can get a full refund of the current membership period (Amazon says within 3 to 5 business days).
- Channels you added on Prime Video (for example Paramount+) keep running and billing after Prime ends. Check Memberships and Subscriptions in your account.
Before you cancel: save money
- Use Prime mostly for video? Check whether a single streaming service costs less.
