How to Cancel Spotify Premium

Short answer: Log in at spotify.com/account, choose Change plan, scroll to Spotify Free and select Cancel Premium. Your playlists stay.
Cancel on the website
- Log in at spotify.com/account in a web browser.
- Under Your plan, select Change plan.
- Scroll to Spotify Free and select Cancel Premium.
Special cases
- Through your phone or internet company: find their contact link on your account page under Payment and cancel with them.
- Family or Duo member: these steps only remove you from the plan. The plan manager has to cancel it.
What happens after you cancel
- Premium stays until your next billing date, then your account switches to Spotify Free (with ads).
- Your playlists and saved music stay.
- Cancelling during a free trial switches you to the free version right away.

- Paying for more than one person? A Duo or Family plan can cost less per person than separate Premium plans.
